Hello! My name’s Marg and I’m a genealogy addict and a lover of ‘people’s stories’.
Genealogically, I’ve completed a Diploma of Family History through the University of Tasmania and a Certificate in Genealogical Research through the Society of Australian Genealogists (Sydney). Career wise, I’ve worked as a medical research scientist and a community palliative care nurse. Both careers instilling in me a fascination for the human condition and the importance of gathering evidence before making any proclamations. Essential in genealogy!
Over the last 30 years or so, I’ve gathered together a truck load of family stories – some tragic, some funny, some just plain intriguing. I’m going to share some of those stories with you before the proverbial bus runs me over or I drift into blissful memory loss.
And to those particularly interested in the genealogical process, I’ll share tips I’ve learned, the valuable resources I’ve found and how to avoid falling into those pesky pits of false leads.
Feel free to dop me a line either privately via Contact me or publicly via the Comment section after each blog post. I would love to hear from you.
I hope you enjoy the blog. Cheers, Marg.
